KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Blanche came to fitness as a second career while raising three kids under four, drawn to Active Life’s language of bridging healthcare and fitness.
- She tried it in 2021, stepped away, and spent the gap “throwing things at the wall” and making costly decisions on her own.
- Back in since 2024, she calls the mentorship and support hands-down the best in the industry.
- Her business grew into a bigger facility with three coaches hired, and she’s stepping into a team-leader role.
- A client who’d failed chiropractic care, personal training, and massage went from a 5/10 low back and no hinge to lifetime PRs.
Blanche already knew some of the content. What she didn't have was anyone to tell her what to actually do with it.
Blanche is an Active Life Professional and a mom of three who came to fitness as a second career. She first found Active Life on Instagram, drawn to how it talked about bridging the gap between healthcare and fitness — she'd been passionate about the perinatal space and this gave language to the rest.
The gap years: throwing things at the wall.
She did the online seminar in 2021, then paused and came back in 2024. The time in between is the part a lot of coaches will recognize.
"I was just throwing things at the wall and seeing if it stuck. Even though I knew some of the content, I didn't have the business mentorship… I made a lot of really stupid decisions by myself."
What she needed wasn't more information. It was a framework and someone who could say, "I've done this before — here's what we can do."
What the second time around gave her.
Fourteen or fifteen months into the education, she's not just more skilled — she's supported.
"The mentorship and the support you get as part of the program is hands down the best in the industry."
Her business grew a lot in that stretch: she moved into a bigger facility and hired three coaches, leaning on the Active Life community to guide the transition.
The client everyone else couldn't help.
A client named Nicole came to Blanche's gym, Rooted Strength, with a shoulder issue and a low back issue she'd carried for years. She'd done chiropractic care, personal training, massage therapy — you name it — without much success. She sat around a 5 out of 10 with her low back and couldn't hinge at all.
After a couple of months of personal training, Blanche graded her into small-group RISE sessions. Now she's hitting lifetime PRs, feels strong, and — maybe more importantly — can navigate the occasional flare with confidence instead of fear.
What's next: leading a team.
Blanche is eyeing specialty courses like longevity and return to sport, and growing into a team-leader role so both her coaches and her clients feel supported inside the gym.
Knowing the content isn't the same as knowing what to do with it. The mentorship starts where the guessing ends.
Start inside the assessment system. The L1 Biomechanics & Assessment Workshop is two days, live online, $19 (it was $1,500 in-person).

📖 Every coach should read this one.
Live More. Hurt Less. by Dr. Sean Pastuch is the thinking behind the method — how pain actually works, and why the members who've "tried everything" are still stuck. Read it to sharpen how you coach, then put it in your clients' hands.
